What is DODO Webview?

Why iOS Needs a Webview Wrapper

Apple's App Store Review Guidelines prohibit apps that aggregate copyrighted streaming content from other services. That is why NetMirror itself is not — and cannot be — a native iOS app. Instead, the iOS workaround uses a generic WebView wrapper called DODO Web View - TV Movies, listed on the App Store under "Entertainment" by developer "umer shabbir".

DODO Web View is a fully App-Store-reviewed app. Apple has approved it because, on its own, it does nothing — it is just a browser shell with a URL field and three toggles (Full Screen, Auto Rotation, HTTPS). What you load inside it is up to you. NetMirror's streaming URL happens to work beautifully inside DODO because the toggles enable the right viewing experience.

This approach is identical to how millions of users access region-locked or unofficial services on iOS. Other interchangeable apps that work the same way: iOSMirror, NetFree, and any HTML5 webview app. If DODO disappears from the store one day, just install the next equivalent and the same URL will load. See our NetMirror vs Netflix comparison for why this is necessary in the first place.

FAQ

iPhone & iPad FAQ

Everything users ask about running NetMirror on iOS via DODO Webview.

Is NetMirror available on the Apple App Store?

No, NetMirror itself is not on the App Store because Apple's policies prohibit apps that aggregate copyrighted content from other streaming services. The workaround on iOS is to use a generic webview app called DODO Web View (free, listed on the App Store as a normal utility) and load the NetMirror streaming URL inside it. DODO is just a browser shell — it does not bundle any NetMirror code.

Is DODO Webview safe to install on my iPhone?

Yes. DODO Web View is a regular App Store app reviewed by Apple — it cannot contain malware. It is essentially a web browser with three toggles (Full Screen, Auto Rotation, HTTPS) and a URL field. There is no Apple ID hijacking, no iCloud access, no data leaving your device beyond the URL you load.

Do I need to jailbreak my iPhone?

Absolutely not. The DODO Webview method works on stock iOS without any modification. We strongly recommend against jailbreaking — it voids your warranty and creates security risks. NetMirror via DODO works on every iPhone running iOS 12 or later, no jailbreak required.

Which iOS versions does this work on?

DODO Web View supports iOS 12 and later. That covers iPhone 5s and newer, plus all iPads running iPadOS 13+. NetMirror itself works fine inside DODO on every modern iPhone — including iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPad Pro M4. Minimum iOS version: 12.0.

Why does the URL change every few weeks?

ISPs and copyright protection agencies regularly block the public streaming domain. The NetMirror team rotates the URL every 4–6 weeks. The good news: we publish the new working URL the moment it goes live, often before the official portal does. Bookmark netmirror.io/netmirror-new-url-working/ on your iPhone home screen for one-tap access.

Do I need to sign up or create an account on iOS?

No signup required on iOS. DODO Webview + the URL gives you direct access to the streaming library. Compare with PC and Mac, where the browser version does require an email signup to track watch progress.

Can I download movies for offline viewing on iPhone?

Limited. iOS Safari and DODO Webview both restrict native offline downloads. The browser cache holds recently watched content for short-term offline playback, but full offline downloads are only available on the Android APK. If offline viewing is critical, use the Android version.

Does AirPlay work? Can I cast to Apple TV?

Yes. DODO Webview supports iOS native AirPlay — when you tap Play on a video and pull up Control Centre, you will see the AirPlay button. Cast to your Apple TV, Mac or any AirPlay 2-compatible speaker. Picture-in-Picture is also supported on iOS 14+.

The video stops playing when I lock the screen — fix?

iOS pauses background audio for non-music apps by default. Workaround: enable Picture-in-Picture before locking. Tap the PiP icon in the player → the video shrinks to a floating window → audio continues even when you switch apps or lock. AirPlay to a TV also keeps playback alive when phone is locked.

My DODO Webview shows "Cannot load" — what now?

Three things to check: (1) The URL has changed — check the latest working URL; (2) Toggle HTTPS off in DODO settings (some month's URL is HTTP only); (3) Try a backup app like iOSMirror or NetFree from the App Store — they work the same way as DODO.

Is using NetMirror on iPhone legal?

NetMirror aggregates publicly available streams. Whether using it is legal depends on your country and local copyright law. The DODO Webview app itself is fully legitimate. We recommend using a reliable VPN for privacy on any free streaming service — see our best VPN guide for trusted options.

How do I uninstall if I no longer want NetMirror?

Two options: (1) Open DODO Webview → clear the URL field → no more NetMirror loading; (2) Long-press the DODO Web View icon on your home screen → tap Remove App → Delete App. There is no uninstall ceremony for NetMirror itself because it never installs anything on your iPhone — it lives inside DODO.
