NetMirror Old Versions Archive — All Previous APKs (V2.5 to V5.5)

Archive of all previous NetMirror APK versions. Download V5.5, V5.4, V5.3, V5.2, V5.1, V5.0, V4.5 etc. for compatibility testing or device-specific issues. Always prefer the latest V6.0.

Quick Recommendation

Use the latest V6.0 unless you have a specific reason otherwise. Old versions stop working after a few release cycles because the streaming infrastructure rotates and old API signatures are deprecated. Most "I need an older NetMirror version" requests can actually be solved by updating to V6.0 and clearing the app cache.

When You Might Need an Older Version

  • Very old Android phone — phones running Android 5.0-5.1 may not support V6.0's streaming engine; V4.5 or older may install
  • Specific feature regression — if a UI feature you used was removed in a later version
  • Compatibility testing — developers comparing app behavior across versions
  • Device-specific bug — some phones (older Samsung models, certain Mi TVs) may crash on the latest version. Try the previous one as a fallback.

Why Old Versions Eventually Stop Working

NetMirror's streaming infrastructure includes signed API calls and content source URLs that update over time. After roughly 4-6 release cycles (about 8-12 weeks), older versions can no longer authenticate with the streaming backend or fetch current content. The app will install, launch, and then show "service unavailable" errors.

For this reason, even if an old version is technically downloadable, it may not actually stream content. The "old version" archive below is provided for completeness — but the latest version is what we genuinely recommend for everyone.

Download Old Versions (with caveats)

We do not host every old APK on this site — only the current V6.0 is officially distributed. For older versions:

  • V5.x archives — sometimes available via the official Telegram channel pinned messages (search the channel for "v5.5 archive")
  • Pre-V5.0 versions — generally no longer maintained or distributed; old links are dead
  • Third-party APK hosts (APKMirror, APKPure) — some old NetMirror builds are mirrored there. Always verify SHA-256 hash matches our public hash list before installing — modified APKs are common on third-party hosts.

If V6.0 Has a Bug — Don't Downgrade, Wait

NetMirror releases new builds every 2-3 weeks. If V6.0 has a specific bug affecting your device, it's usually faster to wait for the next release than to downgrade and lose features. Workflow:

  1. Document the bug (what you did, what happened, your device model + Android version)
  2. Try basic fixes first: clear cache, reinstall the same V6.0, check for in-app update banner
  3. Report via the official Telegram channel
  4. If unfixable in a week, install the previous V5.5 as a temporary downgrade
  5. Switch back to V6.0 (or whatever's latest) when the bug is patched

How to Downgrade Safely

If you really need an older version:

  1. Backup your watch progress — note down your "Continue Watching" list manually (no export feature)
  2. Uninstall current version: long-press app icon → Uninstall → Confirm
  3. Download the older APK from a verified source — verify SHA-256 hash if possible
  4. Re-enable Unknown Sources for the browser/file manager you'll use
  5. Install the older APK — same flow as new install
  6. Open the app — your offline downloads may need to be re-downloaded; watch progress likely lost

SHA-256 Hash Verification

For each version we publish, we list the SHA-256 hash. If you download from a third-party source, verify the hash matches before installing. On Mac/Linux: shasum -a 256 NetMirror.apk. On Windows PowerShell: Get-FileHash NetMirror.apk -Algorithm SHA256.

FAQ

Why can't I find V3.0 anymore?

V3.0 was retired around 2024. Many third-party "free streaming" sites still list V3.0 because their pages haven't been updated since 2024 — those listings are misleading. The current version is V6.0. Old V3.0 builds, if you find them, will not connect to the current streaming backend.

Will V6.0 work on Android 5.0?

V6.0 minimum is Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It will install but may run slowly. For older Android versions, V5.0 (October 2025) was the last build with broader compatibility — but it's now sunsetting on the backend.

Can I install multiple versions side-by-side?

No. Android allows only one app with the same package name. Installing a new version replaces the old one. (Some users use clone-app tools like Parallel Space to run two NetMirror instances — not officially supported.)

Where do I find the official Telegram channel?

The official NetMirror Telegram channel is referenced in the in-app "About" screen and on our About page. We don't directly link Telegram URLs from this page to avoid Google penalties for off-domain link manipulation.

Are there old versions of the TV APK?

The NetMirrorTV.apk has its own version history — generally aligned with the phone APK but rebuilt separately for leanback launcher integration. The current TV APK is also V6.0 (58 MB). See the Firestick or Android TV page for current TV APK download.

Bottom Line

The honest recommendation: just use the latest V6.0. Old versions cause more problems (dead streams, missing features, security gaps) than they solve. The 1-click upgrade path is always simpler than the 5-step downgrade path. Get V6.0 from our download page.
