The Biggest NetMirror Update Yet

We're excited to announce NetMirror V6.0 — the most significant release in our history. After months of development based on community feedback, V6.0 brings major performance improvements, new features, and a refined experience across all platforms.

What's New

1. 30% Faster Streaming Engine

We rebuilt the core streaming engine from scratch. Result: start times reduced from 5 seconds to under 3 seconds, and buffering events down by 60% on average. The new engine uses adaptive prefetching that anticipates your next action.

2. Prime Video Subtitle Support

Long-awaited! Prime Video content now has full subtitle support across all movies and most series. New subtitles are added daily for new releases.

3. Refined UI with Better Dark Mode

Material Design refresh with improved typography, better spacing, and enhanced dark mode that's easier on the eyes during late-night viewing. The home screen is now 40% more information-dense without feeling cluttered.

4. 15+ New Content Sources

Added new aggregation sources including:

• Crunchyroll catalog (2000+ anime titles)
• Apple TV+ originals
• Paramount+ shows
• Peacock content
• Regional Korean and Japanese platforms

5. Battery Optimization

Significantly reduced power consumption. Streaming for 1 hour at 1080p now uses 15% less battery on average across tested devices. Background processes have been minimized when the app isn't actively streaming.

6. Android TV Improvements

• Fixed remote navigation issues from V5.x
• New focus indicators that match Material Design 3
• Improved voice search accuracy
• Better Chromecast integration

7. Reduced APK Size

Despite all the new features, we reduced the APK from 60MB to 52MB through code optimization and resource compression. Faster downloads, less storage used.

How to Update

For Existing Users:

Open NetMirror → Settings → About → Check for Updates. The app will detect V6.0 and prompt you to download. Or, manually:

1. Visit netmirror.io/download/android-app/
2. Download the new APK (52MB)
3. Install over the existing version (your data will be preserved)
4. Launch and enjoy V6.0
